So Google Street View decided to protect the privacy of a cow by blurring its face… Now many of us toss and turn at night, not being able to sleep, with only one thing on our minds – what are you hiding, cow?
Apparently, Google has its own algorithm for detecting faces, and uses two different kinds of advanced detectors. Then they combine the outputs and the results are scored and faces identified.
Surely with such advanced technology, the blurring of this cow’s face wasn’t a mistake… Or was it? The terrible truth is, some questions about Google Face Blur algorithm can only be answered by the company. This cow may be an agent undercover, or the key to our national security. Maybe we will never know…
